New Awards Presented

The Chamber recently announced the recipients of its new Ambassador awards. Recognized as the Ambassadors of the Quarter were Gene Williams of Nations Bank for the Lake/Bay Ambassadors group and Pamela Watkins of the South Walton Tourist Development Council for the Beach Ambassadors. Pamela was also named as the Ambassador of the Year for having the highest point total of all Ambassadors.

Both winners receive a gift certificate for dinner for two, which has been contributed by Pandora's in Grayton Beach, and a plaque for their quarterly recognition. As Ambassador of the Year, Pamela receives a weekend get-away at an Abbott-managed property in Seagrove Beach, courtesy of Abbott Resorts.

In July, an incentive program was instituted awarding various levels of points for specific activities undertaken by the Ambassadors. The points are tracked and used to recognize the top point earner for each group as the Ambassador of the Quarter. The overall top achiever of both groups for the program year is named the Chamber's Ambassador of the Year.

The Chamber congratulates and thanks Gene and Pamela for all they have done to earn these awards and also recognizes each of our Ambassadors for their excellent commitment to the Chamber and our members.
