Foundation's Building Committee At Work

Several Chamber members are busily working on drawing plans for the Chamber's new building. Clark Ries (W.G. Mills) has volunteered his services to create preliminary drawings of the proposed floor plan and outside elevation drawings. Arlie Gordon (The Rutland/Forbes Co.), Pete Knowles (First American Bank) and Dewey Wilson (Regional Utilities) will work with Ries in seeing that the facility meets the Chamber's current and future needs.

"We're envisioning a structure that's consistent with the coastal Florida look, a building that can house the Chamber's offices, have a large meeting/conference room and additional offices that will be leased initially until the Chamber has need for them down the road," said Ries.

The Foundation's formal fund-raising campaign for the new building will begin once the drawings are complete and an elevation level artist's rendering is available.
