At the Chamber's Annual Meeting on October 7, the membership voted to approve the Board-recommended revisions to the organization's By Laws. Among the changes was the rewording of several sections replacing "North" and "South" with "Lake/Bay area" and "Beach area" to more positively depict the regions of the County.

The composition of the Nominating Committee, which makes recommendations to the Board for the slate of candidates for vacant Directors positions, was also expanded to include more representation from the membership at large.

Additionally, four new Directors were added as ex-officio members of the Board as a result of the revisions. The Vice Presidents of the Chamber's newly created Membership and Community Growth & Development Divisions and the Executive Directors of the Walton County Economic Development Council and the South Walton Tourist Development Council will serve as non-voting members of the Board.

The Chamber welcomes Division Vice Presidents Sylvia Hanks (Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort) and Don Carter (Perdue Farms, Inc.), Tom Powell and Kriss Titus to the Board and appreciates the input they will be able to provide.
