Plans for the Chamber's 4th Annual Golf Tournament are well underway. The event will be held on Friday, August 20 at Seascape Resorts with a 12 Noon shot-gun start. Team registrations are coming in strong and early registrations are encouraged as a sell-out crowd is expected again this year.

"Our Committee has been busy contacting sponsors, prize contributors and planning new additions to the Chamber's tournament. We'll be offering a putting contest, skins competition, hole-in-one prizes for all the par 3's, and a few other extra features this year," said tournament Chairman Robert Dobson (Gulf Power). "The $50 registration fee is quite a bargain when you consider that you get not only a full round of golf, but all golfers will also receive a package of gifts that have been contributed by our members, a chance to win some great door prizes, and refreshments on the course and after the tournament," Dobson added.

The tournament can accommodate a maximum of 33 four-person teams, and each team can have only one "A" player (handicap of 12 or less). Prizes totaling $3,000 will be awarded to the top placing teams at the conclusion of the tournament. Chamber members have the opportunity to participate as Gold, Silver or Bronze Sponsors. Gold Sponsors receive publicity through a tee/green sign, registration for one 4-person team, entrance for team members to the putting contest, official tournament caps, additional door prize entries, in addition to recognition in printed programs. Silver sponsors will receive a tee/green sign, registration for one 4-person team with putting contest entrance, additional door prize entries, and recognition in printed programs. Bronze sponsorship includes a tee/green sign and registration for one 4-person team. The cost for the sponsorships are $500, $400 and $300 respectively.

Bronze sponsors include CHELCO, Human Resource Solutions, Regions Bank, Seaside and South Walton Directory.
