Membership has its advantages

Membership in the Walton County Chamber of Commerce has many advantages of which you may not be aware. Here are just some of the reasons why it is to your advantage to make use of the services your Chamber offers.

Monthly "Business After Hours", First Friday Breakfast Meeting and First Friday Luncheon Meeting. These functions are great networking opportunities in relaxed settings. Sponsorship of these events is a great marketing tool for your business also.

Listing in the Business Directory and Visitor's Guide published annually. This full color booklet is the main tool the Walton County Chamber uses to market its members and their service locally and throughout the United States in all of our request for information and relocation packages.

Business seminars and workshops. The Chamber offers two types of business seminars. In cooperation with the OWCC/UWF Institute for Professional Development, Dr. David Goetsch presents our "Seminars for Success" covering a variety of informative topics. Sessions are held in DeFuniak Springs and at Sandestin. A second group of seminars, presented free, is held under the Small Business Support Network designed to inform business owners and their employees of better ways of doing business.

Monthly newsletter. "The Chamber Connection" is our publication to let you know what is happening in your Chamber. Printed by the Walton SUN and inserted in their newspaper "The Connection" also serves as a tool for you to get your name before the membership at a very reasonable cost. It is inserted in the 4th Saturday edition of the Walton SUN and also is mailed to approximately 500 Chamber members.

Distribution of your brochures and information through our two offices. Your brochures and business cards are displayed in both Chamber offices. Please keep our offices supplied with these so they are available for display as well as mailouts.

Involvement with Chamber committees. The Chamber has 5 very active committees. They are the Governmental Affairs Committee, Military Affairs Committee, Education, Health Awareness and the Ambassadors. All committees meet monthly and you are invited to join.

Chamber membership list available. On paper ready to print your own labels, on labels ready to stick and mail, or on disk.

New Business Ribbon Cuttings and Groundbreakings. Remember to invite your Chamber Staff and Ambassadors to help you celebrate. We will bring the ribbon, ceremonial scissors, the gold shovels and the media!
