Message from the President

As your Chamber moves forward in its efforts to improve services for our members, I begin to wonder how to keep up with all the changes. Change is a constant in all areas of our lives, not just at work, but in our community and family life. Change is not easy for anyone, although some adapt more quickly than others. Our members will be seeing the Chamber change, but one thing I would like all of you to remember, we are the same Chamber we were last year and the year before, just a newer and we hope improved version.

You may see a new face in one of the Chamber offices, or you may be surprised by one of the services we will be offering, or you may be asked to consider a change in the By-Laws we will recommend. We expect to have questions and encourage each of our members to call a Board member, the Director or a staff person. Your comments, recommendations and inquiries are needed to help shape your Chamber.

One of the Board's main concerns at every meeting is how the membership would wish us to vote on issues that affect your business. We need you to let us know how we are doing and if we can help in any way. We are excited about the growth of the Chamber and look forward to developing ways to increase our membership as well as provide the services you need.

I have decided that the key word for me is flexible. If I remain flexible and open to new ideas and suggestions I will be able to adapt more quickly to the changes in my life. I encourage each of you to focus on bing flexible and ready to respond to the changes that are inevitable.
